At the 2025 edition of Insight in New Orleans, Trimble introduced its newly-developed TMS platform, built from the ground up using micro-services architecture, GPU-accelerated inference and edge-AI support for connected vehicles. The system enables logistics firms to ingest telematics, external data (weather, traffic, demand) and apply AI agents that dynamically optimise routing, maintenance scheduling and load-balancing. Trimble executives emphasised that the shift from static workflows to AI-driven orchestration represents a major inflection in transport infrastructure. Early beta partners report up to 18 % cost savings and 22 % reduction in delay when using the platform.
The announcement signals that AI innovation is skipping over the consumer space and moving fast into the backbone of global logistics, supply-chain and industrial mobility. For companies, adopting such platforms now may become a competitive imperative.
